How to block your bank account if your phone is stolen?

Follow the steps below to prevent unauthorized withdrawal from your bank account:

Step 1

Call the customer care of your mobile network provider and ask them to block your line. Or rush immediately to the bank branch and sort things out with them, if the bank branch is in operation.

Step 2

Log into your online banking and block your ATM.

Step 3

Dial the bank code with any available phone and follow the instructions.

Note: Some banks will require you to call customer care to block the account while others may require you to use a USSD code.
