‘Freedom Is Priceless’ – Ice Prince Breaks Silence Following His Release

Nigerian singer, Ice Prince, whose real name is Panshak Henry Zamani, has made his first public statement since he regained his freedom.

The artiste took to Twitter to express himself following his freedom.

He tweeted with his verified handle @Iceprincezamani, “Freedom is priceless.”

It would be recalled that the singer was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer earlier this month.

The Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed Ice Prince’s arrest when he took to Twitter to notify Nigerians.

He said the artiste who was driving to a destination in the state was stopped by a police patrol team in the area at about 3am for driving without licence plates.

Hundeyin further said that when the artiste was flagged down, Ice Prince agreed to visit the station with one of the policemen who entered the vehicle.

But unfortunately things went south, as the music star abducted the policeman, assaulted and threatened to throw him into a river before he was later arrested.

Hear his statement:

“At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.

“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”

Following his arrest, the singer was arraigned on a three-count charge –assault, obstruction and abduction of a policeman– by the Lagos Police Command.

He was thereafter remanded at the Ikoyi Prison till his bail conditions were finally met.
