Sometimes you might desire to gift data to your loved ones, family, or friends probably because you have enough data from which you can share and gift out. However, because there are several network providers out there, we need to know how to send airtime to our loved ones who are not on the same mobile line as us.

First, a disclaimer,

At the time of writing this article, there is no official way to send airtime from the MTN network to another mobile network. What is only allowed is to transfer to and from MTN mobile networks. This means if you are an MTN subscriber, you are only allowed to transfer airtime to another MTN network user.

The next paragraphs will show you how you can transfer airtime from MTN to MTN.

How To Share Airtime On MTN (MTN Share)

You can transfer airtime on the MTN network in three ways. These include direct MTN Share code, MTN-Share menu code, and the MTN App.

Using Direct MTN Share Code

Go to your phone’s dial pad, and dial the following string.

321NumberAmountShare pin#

Using USSD Code

Go to your phone’s dial pad and dial the MTN share n share code, *321#.
Select option 1 for “Transfer airtime.”
Then, follow the next prompts illustrated below to get your share of airtime successfully.

Transfer airtime>recipient number>amount>share n sell pin, and press send.

Using MyMTN Mobile App

Download your MyMTN Mobile App from Play Store.
Login/register to the app.
Select “Share” from the drop-down menu on the homepage and click on airtime. Input the amount of airtime and the recipient number. Then select “proceed” to finish the process.
