You would sometimes need to share your Glo data balance with your family members and other loved ones. And sometimes you would want to send to someone who currently does not subscribe to the Glo network, and you’ll ask how to share to another network, like from your Glo line to the MTN line.

As you are asking how you can share Glo data with an MTN subscriber, you have to note that at the moment, the Glo network does not allow data sharing into another network. If you have to send data to a loved one who is not a Glo subscriber, try and ask the beneficiary to send you their Glo number.

If you have successfully gotten your beneficiary to have a Glo number sent to you, then follow the instructions below to share your data with them.

How to Share Data on Glo

On Glo, you can share data using either the USSD, SMS or the direct Glo data code. Read below for how each works.

• Using The Direct Code.
• Go to the dial pad of your phone, and dial *127*01*the recipient’s phone number*amount#.

Using the Glo Data Code

-Go to the dial pad of your phone and dial *321#.

-From the list of options, choose 1 for “Data.”

Choose 2 for “Share data plan.”

Then input the recipient’s phone number and send it. Once you’ve carried out the above procedures, you would receive an SMS that your shared data was successful.

Using SMS

Go to the messaging app of your phone and type the following accordingly.

“share” “recipient’s phone number” and send it to 127. For example,  Share 08000000100. After that send the message to 127.
