I know you might be wondering, what does NYSC PPA stand for? PPA is an acronym for Place of primary assignment! After the successful completion of activities on the orientation camp for 21 days, it is expected of you to report to your place of primary assignment for further duties.
As important as going to the orientation camp, your place of primary assignment is where you would carry out your 12 months of service to the country. It could be a school, hospital, government house, or some other place depending on what surrounds your youth service process.

A lot of things are expected of you at your PPA if all of them are not in check, you might as well be joking with your allowance at the end of the month. The following are expected of you at your place of primary assignment:

There is no organization without rules and regulations guiding it. If you must work there, then you must be ready to abide by their rules and regulations. It is also important for you to get acquainted with the work environment so you don’t feel lost at every activity that goes on.
Maintaining peace and orderliness at the workplace
You wouldn’t want to be a part of rowdiness and an uncalm environment. It is your duty as a corp member to maintain peace and orderliness in the workplace and also ensure that work activities go on smoothly.

You would be doing this and many more depending on your work environment for 12 months.
You may be lucky enough to be getting a handsome monthly allowance from the organization you’re working for and still get from the government. At least it should be able to sort out some minor bills.

As much as it looks like this posting comes naturally, there are some factors that you get posted to a place you’d love. Some of which are:
Reference from top government officials
No doubt this is one factor that can determine your NYSC PPA if you’re not okay with where you were initially posted to. Some people might have a relationship with top officials in the government that could help in posting you to a place of choice. So, if you have someone that could be contacted concerning this then you should give it a try.
Participation in NYSC activities
These activities differ, it could be that you happen to be a platoon leader, a member of the OBS crew, or even a member of any top religious organization. If you deliver well at those levels, there is a tendency that you get posted to a place you’d love and not just the regular school thing. So many people do not even want to hear about this school thing, lol!
Writing to your state coordinator
This is another way to influence your posting. If you do not like where you are allocated, then you can just write a letter directed to your state coordinator providing necessary details as regards your posting.
