Steps to do NYSC Remobilisation

One of the frequently asked questions by corps members is: “What is NYSC Remobilisation?” Many of them presume that it is the same thing with NYSC Revalidation. But their presumption is entirely false as there is a difference between NYSC Remobilisation and NYSC Revalidation. In this post, you will be equipped with knowledge relevant to NYSC Remobilisation.

What is NYSC Remobilisation?

NYSC remobilization is meant for corps members who attended the orientation camp but either absconded camp, got sent out of camp for various acts and offenses or left their service uncompleted for reasons best known to them.

For example…

John Doe belongs to NYSC 2022 Batch B Stream 1.

He was deployed to Sokoto, and he attended the orientation camp as well as did all the necessary registration on camp.

After orientation camp, he fails to report to his Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) at all.

A year later, John Doe is now ready for service and wants to join NYSC 2022 Batch C Stream 1.

All he will need to do now is REMOBILIZE.

Steps to Apply for NYSC Remobilization

The steps to do NYSC remobilization are as follows:

Step 1

Visit the NYSC mobilization portal and locate https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/RemobInterest.aspx for remobilization.

Step 2

After clicking the link, you will be required to fill out a form.

Step 3

You’re to fill the form by indicating your previous call-up numbers, previous state code, previous batch, previous deployment state, amongst other details. This is the information that will give NYSC clues why you must be remobilized.

Step 4

If you’re a married corps member, you will be required, besides the details above, to scan and upload: evidence of a husband’s state of residence, evidence of marriage, identity of husband, newspaper change of name, letter from employer/utility bills.

Step 5

Your application will go through an approval process. Only if approved you would be eligible for remobilization. This means that not everyone that applied for remobilization will be considered.
